Sanadhana Dharmam – The Eternal Path of Life

Sanātana Dharma is the eternal way of life founded on universal truths that transcend time and place. Rooted in the wisdom of the Vedas and Upanishads, it upholds righteous living (dharma), the law of karma, the cycle of rebirth, and the pursuit of ultimate liberation (moksha). With the freedom to follow diverse spiritual paths—whether through devotion, meditation, knowledge, or selfless service—it emphasizes harmony with nature, compassion toward all beings, and the realization of the divine unity pervading all existence. Unlike religions with a single founder, Sanātana Dharma is a timeless, ever-living tradition that guides humanity toward balance, prosperity, and spiritual freedom. Over the ages, its depth and vastness have been explained by great ācāryas in different ways: Adi Shankaracharya, the foremost exponent of Advaita Vedanta, revealed that the individual soul and the Supreme Brahman are one, teaching self-knowledge as the path to liberation; Madhvacharya, the founder of Dvaita Vedanta, stressed the eternal distinction between the soul and God, highlighting devotion and divine experience as life’s ultimate goals; and Sri Ramanujacharya, through Vishishtadvaita, proclaimed the greatness of devotion and the indispensability of divine grace, teaching that the soul attains liberation through complete surrender to God. Their teachings continue to enrich life with dharma, wisdom, devotion, compassion, and unity, guiding humanity toward spiritual growth and supreme liberation.
